Photos from the August 9th, 2008 Summer School Field Trip

On August 9, 2008 the Oregon Real Estate Inspectors Associatiion (OREIA) sponsored a summer school field trip for home inspectors at beautiful Cascade Locks, Oregon. Arrangements were made for the group to tour and inspect three newly built homes in a development overlooking the Columbia Gorge.

Those in attendance ranged in experience from brand new to 20 or more years in the business. The seminar was an opportunity for inspectors to share and learn in a beautiful environment.

Two of the three new homes seminar participants scoured as part of OREIA's August 9 seminar in Cascade Locks. Nice view, too.
Yes, this is a circuit breaker panel.
Did we mention this is gorgeous country? Hold that thing steady, will ya?
A high level discussion about kitchen sinks. Did we mention the gorgeous view of the Columbia River? Sailboats race up the Columbia Gorge, as seen from the deck of one of the inspection houses. It's tough having to work on a Saturday.
We each inspected all the houses, made our notes then pow-wowed over lunch.
Yep, even the greenest trainees were welcome.
This guy was cornered and forced to view the other guy's vacation snapshots. With three houses to check, we had to keep moving.

Lunch time, then it's back to work.

Clearly, these guys are anxious to get to work.
Say, are you gonna eat that pickle?
We review the inspections with a Power Point presentation and discussions of our findings.
